What this policy covers

This policy explains how Tools by Layna handles information when you use the website, contact support or purchase a digital workbook through Stripe. The site is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary.

Information you provide

• Support messages: if you email info@layna.com.au, the message may include your name, email address, purchase details and anything else you choose to provide.
• Purchase information: checkout is hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects the payment and contact information required to process the transaction. Tools by Layna may receive transaction details such as the product, amount, payment status and customer contact information needed for delivery or support.
• Corrections: calculator feedback may include a page URL and example inputs. Do not send passwords, account numbers, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information.

Information stored on your device

Calculator saving and recent-history features may use browser local storage. That information stays in the browser unless you clear it, use a browser setting that removes it or manually delete saved results. Tools by Layna does not use local storage as a substitute for a secure account or professional record system.

Technical information

The hosting provider may create ordinary server logs containing information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser type, date, time and error information. These logs may be used for security, reliability and troubleshooting. The current static site does not require an advertising account or sell personal information to advertisers.

Stripe and other third parties

Stripe processes checkout and payment information under its own privacy terms and security practices. External links, official-source links and downloaded files may also be governed by the privacy policy of the destination service. Tools by Layna does not receive full card numbers from Stripe checkout.

How information is used

• to supply purchased downloads and provide purchase support;
• to respond to questions, corrections and accessibility reports;
• to investigate errors, fraud, abuse or security issues;
• to keep business, tax and transaction records where required;
• to improve calculators, guides and website reliability.

Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for support, transaction records, legal obligations and dispute handling. Reasonable security measures are used, but no email, website or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask what personal information Tools by Layna holds about you or request a correction by emailing info@layna.com.au. Enough information may be requested to verify the relevant transaction or correspondence before making a change.

The Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to organisations covered by that legislation. This policy is intended to provide transparent information about the site’s actual handling practices and does not claim that every provision applies in every circumstance.
