Calculator Methodology

How Tools by Layna calculators are built, checked, sourced and explained.

Why methodology pages matter

A calculator is only useful when the user can understand the assumptions behind the answer. These methodology pages explain how formulas, source notes, rounding rules, limitations and review notes are handled across the site.

The goal is not to make every calculator look more complicated. The goal is to make the result more trustworthy. Simple calculators still need plain-language explanations, source context and a clear line between general information and professional advice.

How to use these pages

Use the category methodology page when a result could be affected by formulas, unit definitions, Australian rules, measurement standards or health assumptions. Use the content review page to understand the publishing process and the editorial policy for site-wide standards.
